New Year Plans – WUSC Art Sale and March Madness
January 19, 2010Hi everyone, and happy New Year! A few things to announce as a result of this period of absence. Firstly, the new START logo was decided! Thank you to everyone who came out to the concert and voted; it was a great night. Look for it on all upcoming START posters and advertisements!
Secondly, the Winter season has started! LeeAndra Cianci’s show is currently up, and Callan Field’s photography show starts next weekend. Reception dates will be announced as soon as we know them!
Thirdly, WUSC is holding its annual art auction, with profits to go towards Haitian Relief due to the recent earthquake. Donations are needed, so drop them off at the gallery! The auction (with live music and snacks!) will take place on Saturday, January 31. Look for posters coming soon!
Lastly, I have started planning START March Madness, a fundraising event during the month of March to raise money for the March of Dimes Foundation. Events will include a concert night, so email start@mta.ca if you are interested in playing!
